About Spira

DIGITAL SINCE 2004

Spira was founded to address the complex challenge of digitally collecting and managing operational billing and payroll data generated from remote locations, including field ticketing.

With the growing volume of manually recorded data associated with remote labor, equipment and materials in disconnected, or "off-line" environments, Spira developed the ORP®, an innovative software platform to address this unique requirement. Spira's ORP® serves markets across North America, with clients in the well servicing, drilling and completions, production testing, construction, fluid hauling, safety, excavating, daylighting and concrete pouring businesses.

Where needs exist to capture and transmit field data, Spira brings value-added operational, reporting, and risk-management capabilities, which facilitates streamlined operations, improved collections, top line growth, and competitive advantages.

Meet The Team

JASON WEBSTER, CEO

With over 20 years of experience in technology, consulting, and account management, Jason brings a unique depth and breadth of experience to his role as President. Jason has oversight and is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions across the entire organization, including budgeting, management, and staffing and oversees the delivery of product solutions, sales initiatives, and overall client satisfaction in the United States. Prior to Spira, Jason held various leadership roles in software delivery and support, consulting, and business development for other companies in our sector. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

TODD CORBETT, COO

As Chief Operating Officer, Todd’s responsibility at Spira is managing the development and delivery of our product. Todd is also responsible for the delivery of product solutions through implementations and consulting engagements. Since joining Spira in 2005, Todd has contributed to all areas of the company and has been responsible for numerous customer implementations. Prior to his current position, Todd’s roles at Spira have spanned all functional areas, including development, training, implementation, QA and product management. Told holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Calgary.

MICHAEL STADEL, CTO

With more than 15 years of experience in software design, development and implementation, Mike has overall responsibility for Spira’s technology for internal and product development. Mike joined Spira in 2012 and assumed technology roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to Spira, he was a business analyst and senior software developer with a national Canadian media company. Mike holds a Bachelor of Applied Technology, Information Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

RICKY LAI, VP DELIVERY

Ricky is a software and technology consulting professional and brings over 18 years of experience in the energy and agriculture sectors to his role overseeing Spira’s Delivery Services. Ricky works with clients ensuring effective fitment and utilization of Spira products through delivery and sustainment. Ricky has held various leadership roles in consulting, technology, and operations, and has extensive experience in project management, software implementation and delivery, and product development. Ricky holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and B.Sc in Computer Science (with Distinction) from the University of Calgary.

Meet Our Board of Directors

GLEN SCOTT, DIRECTOR & CHAIRMAN

As a senior corporate executive, Glen has proven experience, knowledge and oversight in the areas of real estate development, government relations, the health care sector, corporate, commercial, financial and oil and gas matters. Glen recently retired as the head of Katz Group Real Estate Inc. where he oversaw all aspects of real estate development including the multi-billion dollar Ice District development in downtown Edmonton, one of the largest mixed-use projects in North America. Glen has also served as the president of a national group of health care clinics as well as a managing partner in a Calgary based consulting firm. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2006. In addition to acting as the chair of Spira’s Board of Directors, Glen is the director of several private companies in North America and Asia.

KEVIN LUDBROOK, DIRECTOR

With over 25 years of experience in developing and delivering technology-based solutions for industry, Kevin brings a history of proven results to Spira. Kevin’s experience spans technology development, consulting and project delivery, sales and marketing, and executive management. Kevin returned to Spira as CEO in May of 2014. As one of Spira’s founders, Kevin was involved in the early design and development of the company’s technology. He has been active behind the scenes over the years assisting with many aspects of Spira’s evolution and growth. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge and is a Certified Management Consultant.

ROB JEPSON, DIRECTOR

Rob has over 25 years of experience as an officer and director of numerous public and private companies focused in the Canadian oil and gas industry. He has a very hands-on approach with management and has been actively involved in Spira as both an advisor and director for over 10 years. Rob brings an established track record in business development, corporate mergers, acquisitions, growth and exit strategies.

GREG FISHER, DIRECTOR

As the Vice President Finance and CFO of several publicly traded and private companies within the oil and gas industry, Greg has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience. Over that period, he has played a significant role in the start up, growth and exit of several successful entities. His experience involves equity and debt financings, stewarding company growth, both organically and through asset and corporate acquisitions, as well as planning and executing successful exit strategies. Along with being an active director of Spira for 14 years he has also been a customer for many of them.
